Red Necked Phalarope Reflecting On Nature

Hi Everyone!
It's time for me to Trek into the Wilderness
And to Feel Nature
As if I have entered into It
For the very First Time.

Stacey and I are flying to San Diego on Sunday
To begin Hiking and Flowing with
The Pacific Crest Trail
Following the Mountains 2,650 Miles
From Mexico to Canada.

Enjoy the Spring,
Enjoy the Summer,
Enjoy Your Selves,
And enjoy Life.

Bernie, I thought when you said 'Redneck'--that you were talking about a bird from Tennessee.... Oops--that was bad wasn't it????? ha ha

Have a wonderful trip.. How long? Will you have computer access so that we can keep up with you???

Hi Betsy,

We will be hiking 25 to 30 miles a day and will probably finish up around the second week of September. I don't believe I will be posting any entries along the way, but will give a detailed report when we return from our Quest. Have a great Day Everyday.

Enjoy your journey, it sounds fascinating. I'm sure you will have many beautiful pictures to share when you get back.

Have the most divine time Bernie, what a quest you have in front of you, to be with the Universe in all its splendor, walking and being so completely in tune. What memories you will carry within your heart, your soul will forever be connected to the perfectness of your moments, giving you a gift greater than words could ever express. Enjoy..

Wow, Bernie - that a huge undertaking! As a mother...I have to say I would be worried sick if you were my kids. Excited for you..yet nervous about the things mom's think about when it comes to their favorite people! I'm gonna add the two of you to my prayer list and I can't wait to hear all about your wonderful experience. Take care, Stacy & Bernie!

Dear Bernie,
I will hold you and Stacey in my heart while you are walking the great trail.
It is a glorious walk. As Venus rises I will think of you two, friends, lovers and children of the Earth.
Hold hands often.

The reflection is great. I suspect you could turn the photo upside down and it would still be a great photo. Almost like modern art.

OMy goodness...Yikes..
Bernie..for some reason I pictured you as a man in his 60s...if you are then that is a big undertaking..even this old gal in her mid fifties wouldn't do it...
But now I am guessing you must be much younger and of course very fit...and I hope you brought your camera and some rain gear and good shoes..and maybe a magic carpet for the days it might get hard so you can just glide down the trail...
Anyways...
Best wishes for a long, safe ...wonderful journey.
